SEAF CEO to speak on Impact Investing Panel

On January 14th, 2016, the Center for Strategic and International Studies ( is hosting a half-day conference – “Impact Investment – An International Development Opportunity?”.  The conference will explore the real and potential development impact of the growing impact investing trend. SEAF CEO Bert van der Vaart will participate in a panel discussion covering distinct approaches and priorities of various impact investors, and what benefits impact investing offers as compared to other forms of private sector engagement in development.

With more than 26 years of experience in impact investing as co-founder and CEO of SEAF, Mr. van der Vaart brings a wealth of knowledge on the subject and is honored to participate in the event.  He will be joined on the panel by: David Wilton, Managing Director, Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners; Amie Patel, Vice President, Goldman Sachs Asset Management; and Amb. John Simon, Founding Partner, Total Impact Advisors.  The panel will be moderated by Alan Murray, Editor at Fortune Magazine.
